Astronomy is one of the most exciting sciences due to numerous celestial phenomena that are simply awesome and beautiful to see. Not only that, the universe as a whole is a mysterious fact that may never be fully explained by science.
While those who died are also remembered on Veterans Day, Veterans Day is the day set aside to thank and honor ALL those who served honorably in the military – in wartime or peacetime. In fact, Veterans Day is largely intended to thank LIVING veterans for their service, to acknowledge that their contributions to our national security are appreciated, and to underscore the fact that all those who served – not only those who died – have sacrificed and done their duty.
My life has been on-hold and I have not aged and I have hydrated. I
have traveled back in time listening to the Monkees sing about the last train to Clarksville. When I am pulled back to the real world and my real problem by the sound of a human voice, I hope that my time on hold has slowed me down and allowed me to appreciate the moment.
We have all heard about the Labrador Retriever. We all know what a German Shepherd looks like. And most of us know that a Great Dane is a breed of dog. But what about the Chinook? Or how about the Hokkaido Inu? Is it just a type of helicopter or a city in Japan?
